Kia released information and pictures of the facelift Kia Picanto this week and judging by this image, they are on to a winner.
Sporting a new redesigned grille, a feature which Kia say will be rolled out across the Kia range in the future, the new Picanto is now 40mm longer than the current model.
Although the exact specification for the new Picanto has yet to be confirmed in the UK, Kia did announce that five funky new colours will be available to complement nine new exterior colours.
The exterior design also see's a new more rounded bonnet, front wings and front and rear bumper as well as new headlamp clusters giving the car a more modern European look without losing any of the current Picanto's charm.
One noticable feature is the inclusion of indicators in the wing mirrors as well as in the headlamps, a feature already used by some manufacturers, but a first on a small car like the Picanto. Although unconfirmed, this may be an option on top of the range models only.
Other new features will be an upgraded audio system, probably with iPod compatibility like its big brother the Kia Ceed, and new power steering with speed sensitivity, although this has yet to be confirmed.
The new facelift Kia picanto will make its debut at this year Barcelona Motor Show today. More information will be released as and when we get it.
